Dirt 2

Though Dirt 2, (a single player game) is full of content, is poorly prepared and can be unappetizing. Its main attraction being the World Tour presenting four leagues - Clubman, Amateur, Pro-Am, and Pro - comprising four events apiece. Within these events are individual races that are completed to unlock new venues and vehicles.

You need to tackle them sequentially as required since races are unlocked in small numbers which gives you limited choice in which events to enter at any given time. It will not be as much of a problem as the lack of options for selecting and tuning vehicles.

In the World Tour forcing use of particular vehicle classes could add variety to the game.
You are able to choose from a couple cars from within a class, with no distinctive handling and performance. The absence of tuning only exacerbates the lack of choice, as well as keeping the game from achieving depth. Mostly, you are able to change livery before rolling up to the starting line.

Since Dirt 2 has only four cars competing, you may find difficult to achieve a high level of intensity. Instead, it could be a matter of racing against yourself, aiming for the best possible driving line in each event.

In later stages of World Tour mode, computer-controlled opponents may press you, though beating them could be like sticking to an optimal racing path. If you do not handle it perfectly, you may find this sort of proactive racing difficult, causing more complications than welcome challenges.

DiRT 2 features some fun with varied venues, such as races in Ethiopia that feature hilly sections, (a climb up an enormous steppe, and a descent framed by rock walls), and speeding through the deserts of Mexico, snow drifts in Iceland, and even paved Japanese streets.

The amount of content in Dirt 2 isn't the problem - it's the lack of depth. Introducing finer handling, online play, vehicle tuning, and a more liberal options for progressing through World Tour needs to be improved but evenly Dirt 2 would remain a basic racer.
